Fleet Operator Intern

About the role

We are looking for a pragmatic Fleet Operator Intern to support the day‑to‑day performance of Octave’s energy assets, including battery systems, photovoltaic installations and electric‑vehicle charging stations. The role sits at the intersection of monitoring, incident response and technical operations, offering hands‑on exposure to a fast‑moving cleantech scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor performance and availability of the fleet using internal tools and dashboards.
• Respond to alerts and incidents, provide first‑line support and escalate complex issues.
• Conduct ad‑hoc data analysis on failures, incidents and Energy Management System performance.
• Prepare Edgebox controllers for EMS deployment and perform software/firmware updates on battery systems.
• Support commissioning of new sites, including EMS configuration and validation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
• Proactive mindset with a minimum internship duration of three months.
• Interest in energy systems, energy management or cleantech is a plus.
