Fleet Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the safe and cost‑effective operation of a fleet of ships. The role involves ensuring compliance with international regulations, managing budgets, and coordinating maintenance and dry‑docking activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations and liaise with superintendents, ship owners, and internal departments.
• Ensure vessels operate within allocated budgets and provide financial feedback to owners.
• Supervise vessel maintenance, review inspection and audit reports, and develop improvement plans.
• Plan and oversee dry‑docking, repairs, and shipboard visits by vessel managers.
• Review senior officer appointments and conduct briefings prior to ship assignments.
• Guarantee compliance with company SMS, international regulations, and applicable codes.

Required profile

• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Chief Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Vessel Manager.
• Minimum 10 years experience within a ship management company.
