Financial Controller – Private Equity – Brussels

About the role

Our client, a private equity firm supporting mid‑size European companies, is seeking a Financial Controller for the Group Finance team in Brussels. The role will oversee financial reporting and consolidation across the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse group and subsidiary financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reporting processes.
• Provide performance insights, trend analysis and KPI reporting.
• Support group consolidation in line with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with local finance teams and external accountants.
• Identify financial risks and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with annual budgeting, regular forecasting and variance analysis.
• Support audits, regulatory compliance and process improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• At least 4 years of experience in accounting, reporting or consolidation.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude and strong communication skills.
