Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

The Finance Operations Specialist will support Antech UK’s finance team by handling day‑to‑day transactional activities in Oracle and related systems. Working closely with the laboratory and finance colleagues, the role focuses on accurate processing, timely payments, and continuous improvement of financial workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial transactions up to the payment stage, ensuring accuracy.
• Perform bank reconciliations, match statements to ledger entries, and post currency differences.
• Record and reconcile incoming payments to the correct customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding debts, and manage collections.
• Process supplier invoices, verify tax treatment, match to purchase orders, and obtain management approvals.
• Execute weekly BACS payment runs, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and handle supplier queries.
• Support month‑end close activities for accounts payable and assist with fixed‑asset and lease management.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects such as system migrations and implementation of new tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in finance or accounting operations.
• Fluent English with at least intermediate French.
• Strong attention to detail and a “right‑first‑time” mindset.
