Finance Director – Commercial Finance & Business Partner

About the role

Our client, a global leader in advanced vision care products, is seeking a Finance Director to act as a business partner with a hands‑on attitude. Reporting solid line to the Managing Director and dotted line to the CFO, you will create transparency in financial and operational data to support commercial finance, performance management and growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structured financial and operational reporting, focusing on commercial finance and performance monitoring across practices.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and monthly financial closing for multiple entities.
• Build and enhance business intelligence solutions, data lakes/warehouses and drive system integrations between finance, operational and data sources.
• Coordinate accounting activities, act as key contact for external accountants, auditors and advisors.
• Support M&A activities including financial due diligence, valuations, integration planning and post‑merger reporting.
• Serve as statutory director for the group’s 11 companies, ensuring corporate governance compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial, commercial management, reporting and accounting.
• Proven experience with IT systems, system integrations, BI tools and data‑driven environments.
• Experience with M&A processes (strong plus) and ability to operate in a fast‑growing, multi‑entity environment.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
