Finance Associate

About the role

Nemo & Anakin is launching a multi‑year sailing expedition and documentary series focused on environmental challenges. To support the rapid growth of this venture, the team seeks a Finance Associate who will help build robust financial structures and provide clear reporting for founders and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for projections, scenarios, and valuations.
• Create, track, and update annual budgets and forecasted budgets.
• Monitor expenses and cash flows with rigorous accuracy.
• Prepare concise financial reports for founders, partners, and stakeholders.
• Assist in fundraising activities, grant applications, and financial partnership negotiations.
• Set up and continuously improve internal financial tools and processes.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
• Background in finance, accounting, management, or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented, precise, and able to double‑check work before finalizing.
• Capable of working autonomously and meeting deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
• Interest in environmental issues and high‑impact, adventurous projects.
• Experience in an association, start‑up, or resource‑constrained setting is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and dashboard creation.
• Strong financial modelling and data analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets and collaborative platforms such as Notion.
