Field Service Engineer - Water Treatment (Flanders)

About the role

Veolia's Water Technology Business is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Flanders. The engineer provides professional service to customers in the water treatment industry (raw water, process water, wastewater, etc.), mainly within the assigned region but also occasionally outside it, so frequent travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operation and maintenance on industrial water treatment plants under service or O&M contracts
• Commission, de-commission, operate and maintain mobile water treatment units installed temporarily on customer sites
• Give technical advice on operation and maintenance of customer plants and identify, analyse and implement process or service improvements
• Handle EHS compliance, equipment start-up and commissioning, site surveys and audits, and repairs, maintenance and warranty cases
• Contact customers and prepare service reports and data processing
• Carry out minor piping and electrical assembly work, first-line troubleshooting and contractor supervision when required
• Take part in construction projects, proposal costing, pilot studies and field trials, and call-out duty as scheduled
• Share best practices in team meetings and follow company EHS, customer, ethics and safety policies

Required profile

• Mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering background (Bachelor or Master)
• Preferred: 5 years of water treatment expertise (RO, UF, MBR, EDR, mixed bed, etc.) and related equipment
• Dutch or French and English, all written and spoken
• Valid driving licence
• Certifications VCA Vol and BA4 are a plus
