Field Service Engineer – IT Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team and support the IT infrastructure of Brussels Airlines. The role combines on‑site installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software solutions in a fast‑paced airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to Brussels Airlines sites to install, configure and commission technical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, replacing defective components as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance tasks and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with cabin crew, engineers, technicians and managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Work closely with the Field Coordinator and Managed Services Team for planning and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Passionate about IT and comfortable working hands‑on.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch and/or French.
• Customer‑oriented team player with a proactive attitude.
• Valid Category B driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and related technologies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of the ITIL framework.
