Facility Technician

About the role

As a Facility Technician at SABCA, you will ensure that the company's buildings, technical installations, and workspaces are safe, efficient, and well‑maintained. You will work on a variety of maintenance tasks in a fast‑moving aerospace environment, supporting both civil and space programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building‑related installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in technical systems, coordinating with external service providers when needed.
• Maintain workplace elements such as furniture, lighting, and general building components.
• Conduct or coordinate statutory inspections and certifications of installations and tools.
• Manage inventory of technical materials and tools, ordering replacement parts as required.
• Document maintenance activities, generate work orders, and advise on improvements or investments.
• Assist in facility projects, including renovations and upgrades, while respecting budget constraints.

Required profile

• Completed technical education (e.g., MBO level 3/4 in Electrical Engineering, Installation Technology, or Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar facility or technical maintenance role.
• Good knowledge of facility management, technical installations, and safety standards.
• Possession of a VCA Basic Safety certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French; English is a plus.
