Facilities Manager, Data Center Operations

About the role

The Facilities Manager for Data Center Operations will lead the management of critical infrastructure in a Google data centre located in Belgium. You will ensure that electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems operate reliably while supporting the broader AI and Infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, operation and maintenance of power, cooling, UPS, generator and HVAC systems.
• Inspect, repair and optimise piping, electrical and mechanical components according to blueprints and schematics.
• Assist senior technicians during tours, troubleshooting and emergency response.
• Develop and implement cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining high efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage performance incidents and outages to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in critical facilities management, including people and technical leadership.
• Proven experience as a Facilities, Maintenance, Production Manager or Chief Engineer in a mission‑critical environment.
• Fluent communication in English and French.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering and experience collaborating across business units.
