External Communications Specialist

About the role

Join Nestlé Belgium’s Corporate Communications team as an External Communications Specialist. You will shape and share newsworthy stories, strengthen the corporate and brand reputation, and drive the digital communication strategy across key platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and protect Nestlé’s corporate and brand reputation through media and influencer relations.
• Partner with Talent to enhance employer branding.
• Develop and execute the digital communications strategy for Belgium, managing content for nestle.be, LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Localise international corporate campaigns in coordination with the Zone Europe team.
• Write press releases, blog posts, key messages and storylines.
• Maintain strong media relationships and proactively pitch stories.
• Support crisis communications, including product recalls.
• Monitor reputation development through social listening and media reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, media relations or press engagement.
• Proven spokesperson experience in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Belgian media landscape.
• Experience in a PR/PA agency is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear narratives.
• Proactive, self‑starting mindset with strong relationship‑building skills.
