Expert-comptable – Wallonie

About the role

We are looking for a senior accountant to join our Wallonia team and support a range of SMEs and larger clients. The role combines core accounting, tax optimisation and management‑control activities, helping clients improve their financial performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review full set of accounts, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements and interim reports.
• Handle VAT declarations and ensure compliance with Belgian tax regulations.
• Conduct month‑end and year‑end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and control testing.
• Provide tax optimisation advice for both personal and corporate clients.
• Support management‑control functions such as cost budgeting, consolidation and cash‑flow reporting.
• Deliver tailored financial analysis, risk assessments and strategic recommendations to clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in an accounting firm or fiduciary.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related financial discipline.
• Strong interest in serving SMEs and building long‑term client relationships.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in French; knowledge of English and/or Dutch is a plus.
