Events Assistant

About the role
The Parliament magazine is looking for two Events Assistants to join its Brussels office for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment. You will support the production and delivery of EU‑focused media, special projects and events while gaining insight into how a media business operates alongside policymakers, editors and clients.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Events Managers with event preparation, including liaising with providers, setting up event webpages and drafting invitations.
- Conduct desk research to identify relevant MEPs, speakers and topics for the event portfolio.
- Draft programmes for The Parliament’s series of activities and compile post‑event statistics.
- Support social‑media promotion by drafting and scheduling posts for events and client articles.
- Participate in client meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes.
- Coordinate with venues, providers, marketing and production teams.
- Collect key metrics to inform the growth strategy.
Required profile
- Recent graduate in Communications, Marketing, Politics, European Studies or a related field.
- Strong interest in EU affairs and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
- Excellent written and spoken English; French or another major European language is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
