EU & Belgian Public Affairs Internship

About the role
Political Intelligence Brussels is looking for a motivated intern to support its EU and Belgian public affairs activities. You will work on energy policy issues, assist corporate clients and associations, and gain hands‑on experience in fast‑moving policy debates at both EU and national levels.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in organising external meetings and events.
- Monitor key policy debates in EU and Belgian political institutions.
- Prepare regular monitoring reports and policy analyses.
- Support the development and management of projects that align with clients’ strategic public‑policy goals.
- Attend conferences, seminars and hearings.
Required profile
- Excellent level of Dutch or French (with good knowledge of the other national language) and full proficiency in English.
- Solid understanding of EU institutions, policy‑making processes, and a passion for Belgian politics.
- University‑level degree in law or political sciences.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret legislation, rules and regulations and summarise them clearly.
- Demonstrated assertiveness, flexibility and autonomy.
