Employment Lawyer – Associate (3-5 yrs experience)

About the role

Strelia is looking for a motivated Associate to strengthen its Employment & Benefits practice in Brussels. You will work on complex Belgian and cross‑border employment matters, providing high‑quality legal advice to corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment and benefits law, including drafting opinions and contracts.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and, when required, litigation.
• Conduct legal research on Belgian and EU labour regulations.
• Support senior partners in managing large, high‑stakes cases.
• Contribute to business development and client outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in employment and benefits law at a business law firm.
• Master’s degree in law from a Belgian university with strong academic results; an LL.M. in Social Law is a plus.
• Native‑level proficiency in Dutch or French, with excellent command of English; knowledge of the other national language is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
