Electrical Design Engineer – Low Voltage Systems

About the role

We are a Belgian engineering consulting firm supporting SMEs and large industrial organisations in turning innovation and R&D projects into reality. As an Electrical Design Engineer (LV) you will be responsible for designing and delivering low‑voltage secondary systems, including protection, automation and control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project briefs and adapt standard drawings to meet project requirements, ensuring compliance with norms and standards.
• Produce detailed electrical designs using AutoCAD, integrating new installations with existing substations where required.
• Perform quality checks on all study documents and coordinate with project engineers, technicians and external study offices.
• Support the construction phase by liaising with contractors, resolving on‑site issues and assisting technicians during commissioning.
• Provide on‑site problem‑solving for secondary systems in collaboration with project leaders.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in electricity, electromechanics, automation or a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in design activities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and solid planning abilities.
• Motivation to develop expertise and grow within the company.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and willingness to learn additional languages.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (primary design tool).
