Electrical Design Engineer – Low Voltage Systems

About the role

As an Electrical Design Engineer (LV) you will join a Belgian engineering consulting firm that supports SMEs and large industrial organisations in turning their innovation projects into reality. You will be responsible for the design and realisation of low‑voltage secondary electrical systems, including protection, automation and control.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design studies based on project specifications, adapting standard drawings and ensuring compliance with norms, standards and integration requirements.
• Create and modify AutoCAD drawings for secondary systems, performing thorough quality checks.
• Collaborate closely with project engineers, technicians, external study offices and contractors throughout the study and construction phases.
• Provide on‑site support during construction and commissioning, solving technical issues in partnership with the project leader and field technicians.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve problems quickly.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in electricity, electromechanics, automation or engineering.
• Strong interest in design activities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational abilities.
• Motivation to develop expertise and advance within the field.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and willingness to learn additional languages.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
