EHS Officer

About the role

AbbVie is looking for an EHS Officer to strengthen the Environmental, Health & Safety culture at its Grace‑Hollogne production site. You will promote safe work practices, support continuous improvement, and help enhance employee well‑being and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EHS prevention campaigns, deliver training and onboarding sessions, and update training materials.
• Conduct regular workplace visits, safety observations, gemba walks, and inspections of construction and maintenance activities.
• Participate in job risk assessments, incident investigations, and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and file required legal reports.
• Track and report environmental indicators such as waste, energy, and water usage.
• Manage administrative EHS tasks including PPE management, medical visit coordination, emergency drill organization, equipment ordering, and industrial hygiene monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
• Safety certification (Level 3) with strong knowledge of EHS principles in a regulated environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with safety‑related responsibilities.
