Drilling Supervisor

About the role

Join Fugro’s on‑shore site investigation team in Belgium as a Drilling Supervisor. You will lead field crews to safely and efficiently execute geotechnical drilling projects, ensuring high‑quality data collection for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise safe, correct, and efficient execution of all on‑site drilling activities, complying with schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance with the Operations Manager and manage maintenance requests to minimise downtime.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and consumables, monitoring stock both in the warehouse and on site.
• Organise daily work, assign tasks to field teams, and ensure proper execution according to Work Orders.
• Oversee fleet management, vehicle compliance, insurance follow‑up, technical inspections and timely maintenance.
• Communicate daily with Project Managers, Operations Manager, Technical Expert and client representatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the drilling industry, preferably geotechnical.
• Proven experience supervising field teams.
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, technologies and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and crisis‑management abilities.
