Donor Engagement Intern

About the role
The Donor Engagement Intern will join the Donor Engagement Europe Team within the Global Business Development unit of the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Working under the Senior Advisor Donor Engagement and in close coordination with the Donor Engagement Officer, the intern will support IRC’s relationship management with key EU institutional donors such as DG INTPA, DG MENA, and DG ECHO.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and data analysis to prepare background briefs for donor discussions.
- Assist in drafting briefing documents, meeting agendas, and working group materials.
- Support the implementation of donor engagement strategies, including organizing meetings and coordinating external events.
- Attend donor meetings with senior staff, take accurate minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Provide ad‑hoc administrative support to the donor engagement team.
Required profile
- Current university student or recent graduate interested in international development, humanitarian aid, or donor relations.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
