Domain Architect – Customer Experience Solutions

About the role

The Domain Architect for Customer Experience Solutions will own the enterprise‑level IT architecture of SNCB’s customer‑facing systems, including commercial channels, passenger information, and station facilities. You will work closely with business owners and portfolio management to shape the corporate capability map and define strategic roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain baseline and target business, application, and technology architectures for the assigned domain.
• Develop and document an architectural roadmap in collaboration with business, IT, and delivery teams.
• Participate in vendor and solution selection, ensuring alignment with the IT vision.
• Assess functional and non‑functional requirements and propose landscape improvements.
• Contribute to the business capability map linked to processes and digital solutions.
• Validate that proposed solutions are consistent with existing projects and the overall IT strategy.
• Conduct as‑is investigations and record them in the Architecture Repository (ADOIT).
• Perform quality checks on the repository and resolve inconsistencies.
• Monitor application and technology lifecycles and recommend actions to maintain a healthy IT landscape.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in an architectural role (solution or enterprise architect).
• Strategy and management‑consulting experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with technology delivery practices is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch or French and English.
• Experience in public transport or railway environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of analysis techniques such as use cases and scenario building.
