Didactics and Learning Activities Specialist

About the role

The Didactics and Learning Activities Specialist will support ESA's STEM Learning & Inspiration Programme by creating, coordinating and delivering innovative teaching resources and teacher‑training events. The role is based in Libin, Belgium and works closely with ESA consultants and international educators.

Key responsibilities

• Design, produce, test and showcase pilot didactic concepts for formal and non‑formal learning environments.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver teacher‑engagement initiatives such as workshops, e‑learning courses and online community platforms.
• Manage the dedicated shared inbox and handle participant communications.
• Develop evaluation surveys for each training activity and prepare concise PowerPoint reports with lessons learned and recommendations.
• Support international project‑based learning activities (e.g., CanSat, Astro Pi, Mission X, Climate Detectives, Moon Camp) by updating guidelines, calendars and classroom resources.
• Maintain ESA’s online project platforms and ensure educators have access to required tools and materials.

Required profile

• Experience in developing and delivering STEM education programmes or similar outreach activities.
• Strong project coordination skills and ability to work with international teachers and educators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to evaluate training outcomes and produce clear reports.
