DevOps Nginx Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on NGINX/F5 Engineer to join a high‑impact team in Brussels. You will operate at the critical layer between users and applications, ensuring traffic is secure, performant and intelligently routed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain NGINX reverse‑proxy and load‑balancing configurations.
• Configure and manage F5 BIG‑IP (LTM, ASM/APM) virtual servers, pools and routing.
• Secure applications using WAF, TLS, MFA and certificate management.
• Support application onboarding and migrations from on‑premises to cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot high‑impact incidents (P1) and ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to optimise infrastructure and security.
• Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring setups.

Required profile

• Specialist experience with NGINX reverse proxy and load balancing.
• Proven hands‑on work with F5 BIG‑IP (LTM, preferably ASM/APM).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS and TCP/IP.
• Experience in application security (WAF, TLS, certificates, MFA).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
• Professional proficiency in English and fluency in Dutch or French.
