DevOps Engineer – Private Cloud

About the role

KEYES is seeking a DevOps Engineer specialized in VMware vSphere and VMware Aria to design, automate, and operate a modern private/hybrid cloud platform. You will enable internal product and application teams to consume Infrastructure as a Service through standardized, self‑service provisioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, automate and operate a secure, scalable VMware‑based private cloud.
• Create reusable blueprints, catalog items and automation workflows for self‑service provisioning.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, PowerCLI and Git with proper version control.
• Develop automation and orchestration with VMware Aria Automation and Aria Orchestrator.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and API integrations with ITSM, CMDB, identity and monitoring systems.
• Ensure platform reliability, performance and capacity through monitoring, lifecycle management and SRE practices.
• Support incident and problem management with root‑cause analysis and automation‑driven prevention.
• Integrate container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift and promote GitOps practices.
• Enforce security‑by‑design, RBAC, hardening and audit‑ready controls.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, network, security and application teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience with VMware vSphere and VMware Aria (vRealize) environments.
• Strong background in designing and operating private or hybrid cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, PowerCLI) and Git.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating with enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of SRE principles, monitoring, capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with container platforms, especially Red Hat OpenShift, and GitOps workflows.
• Understanding of security‑by‑design, RBAC and compliance requirements.
