DevOps Cloud Engineer – Hybrid (Belgium)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern cloud‑native platforms on Microsoft Azure. The position is hybrid, based in Belgium, and runs from July to December 2026. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions for the public sector and waste‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure‑based cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Develop and manage Kubernetes container platforms.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate deployment and configuration management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve deployment processes.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Support continuous improvement of DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, ICT or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar technologies.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience designing cloud‑native solutions.
• Proven experience in the public sector and waste‑management/environmental sector.
• Native‑level Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2) is mandatory.
