Data Solution Architect – Azure / Databricks

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Data Solution Architect to lead the design and technical execution of complex data initiatives on Azure. You will define robust solution architectures that align with enterprise standards and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document, and maintain the solution architecture, securing validation from review boards.
• Select appropriate Azure technologies in partnership with enterprise and application architects.
• Recommend development methodologies, frameworks, and coding guidelines to meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Provide overall application structure and design while ensuring implementations respect the defined architecture.
• Coach and guide technical team members through complex implementation and architectural challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate technical costs, benefits, and engineering tasks.
• Partner with testing teams to identify infrastructure requirements and support the project environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Proven experience with Azure data services: Databricks, Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure tools: API Management, App Services, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure database technologies: Cosmos DB and Azure SQL.
• Track record of creating and obtaining approval for Solution Architecture Documents (SAD).
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to mentor technical teams.
• Fluent English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
