Data Scientist

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Cyber Threat Analysis Branch (CTAB) of NATO’s Joint Intelligence and Security Division. The role supports the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) by providing evidence‑based cyber threat intelligence that informs strategic decision‑making across the Alliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large volumes of cyber‑threat data to identify patterns, trends and emerging risks.
• Develop and apply advanced data‑science models and statistical techniques to produce actionable intelligence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within CTAB, JISD and other NATO entities to integrate findings into operational plans.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and visualisations for senior NATO decision‑makers.

Required profile

• Strong background in data science, preferably with experience in security or intelligence environments.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, multinational setting.
• Understanding of NATO structures and the importance of secure communications.

Required skills

• Advanced data‑science techniques (e.g., statistical modelling, machine learning).
• Cyber threat intelligence analysis.
