Data Engineer

About the role

adesso Belgium is seeking a Data Engineer to transform raw, scattered data into reliable, accessible information for its customers. You will work on cloud‑based data platforms, translating complex business processes into scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and cloud data platforms.
• Structure, transform, and load both structured and unstructured data.
• Develop reliable, high‑performance architectures with a focus on maintainability.
• Set up data storage, integrations, and access via BI tools or APIs.
• Contribute ideas on data quality, governance, and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch or French and English.
• Experience with at least one major data platform (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake).
• Understanding of Agile working methods and data governance.
