Data Center Project Manager

About the role

Group IPS, an international company offering in-house engineering and specialized services for project management, automation and architecture, is looking for a Data Center Project Manager based in Nivelles, Belgium. You will contribute to data center development projects across all stages of their lifecycle, gradually taking on greater responsibility and ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Feasibility: coordinate the assessment of building and white-space layouts, technical requirements, preliminary schedules, procurement strategies, budgets and Tier objectives.
• Project preparation: manage investment analysis, basic engineering, Tier requirements, permitting and procurement planning.
• Project delivery: oversee detailed engineering, construction and commissioning, keeping teams aligned on scope, schedule, budget and requirements through to handover.

Required profile

• Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, HVAC or civil and structural engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 3-4 years of professional experience, including exposure to data center or other technically complex, mission-critical projects.
• Understanding of the main stages of data center development, from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects, coordinating technical teams and managing stakeholders.
• Very good knowledge of French/Dutch and English; driver's license B.
• Nice to have: PMP or another recognized project management qualification, or a relevant data center certification; familiarity with data center testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover; Commissioning Manager experience is not required.

Required skills

• BIM-based multidisciplinary project environments and use of BIM as a coordination and project-management tool.
• Ability to work independently, with strong team and communication skills.
