Data Analyst – Liège, Belgium

About the role

Join Gaming1’s analytics team in Liège and help shape the player journey through data‑driven insights. You will turn raw data into clear recommendations that drive product and business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Answer business questions on the player journey, from data extraction to final recommendation.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used daily by the area.
• Analyse player behaviour – funnels, drop‑offs, retention, segmentation – to uncover root causes.
• Contribute to explorations and proof‑of‑concepts, including AI initiatives, alongside senior analysts.
• Translate findings into visual deliverables such as insight notes and dashboards.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Area, product managers, data engineers and data scientists.
• Learn the full business context, including products and operational realities.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a strong academic project/internship.
• Solid SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions) with a desire to write production‑grade queries.
• Hands‑on experience with a data‑visualisation tool (Power BI or Tableau) and interest in semantic modelling and DAX.
• Familiarity with data‑modelling fundamentals (star schema, data‑quality principles).
• Exposure to Python for data‑wrangling or exploratory analysis is a plus.
• Interest in player‑behaviour data and the business questions behind it.
• Professional proficiency in English and a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
