Cybersecurity Forensics Specialist

About the role

As a Cybersecurity Forensics Specialist you will investigate targeted cyber‑attacks and complex security incidents for a European institution. You will support incident response, forensic investigations, intelligence production and the continuous improvement of cybersecurity capabilities in a high‑trust environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct computer and digital forensics investigations on targeted attacks and serious security incidents, including those involving classified information.
• Perform malware analysis and behavioural analysis to support threat intelligence and attribution.
• Contribute to R&D projects aimed at improving detection, investigation and response to evolving threats.
• Participate in major IT security events, expert communities and research forums.
• Support internal working groups developing and evolving information security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in digital forensics.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• EU Secret Security Clearance is an asset.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SANS, CEH, Offensive Security) are a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Antivirus solutions, firewalls, IDS and network analysers such as Wireshark.
• Deployment and configuration of incident response and threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, OpenCTI).
• Scripting and programming: Bash/Shell, Python; Java, C, C++ are assets.
• Offensive security techniques, including penetration testing.
• Use of digital forensics tools and understanding of forensic chain‑of‑custody principles.
• Malware analysis, reverse engineering, disassemblers, debuggers and sandboxing tools.
