Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Expleo is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead risk assessment and secure architecture design for railway subsystems. You will work closely with system, software and safety engineers to embed cybersecurity principles throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security risk analysis on railway subsystems and define mitigation strategies.
• Define secure architectures and specify cybersecurity requirements for system components.
• Identify and implement cybersecurity barriers at the system level.
• Ensure risk reduction through process implementation and organisational change.
• Align solutions with European regulations and industry standards.
• Validate cybersecurity implementations by reviewing documentation, installation reports, test cases and conducting comprehensive security analyses.
• Explain cybersecurity requirements to subsystem teams and follow up on compliance.
• Contribute to testing and validation strategies to ensure system resilience.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BAC+5) in Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, Automation, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non‑specialists.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French; German is a plus.
