About the role

The Ambrosia Journal and Ambrose Creatives are seeking a remote, volunteer Contributing Writer with a strong passion for contemporary visual arts and culture. This position is ideal for emerging writers, curators, artists, cultural managers, or art enthusiasts who want to deepen their involvement in the cultural field and build a professional portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Interview assigned artists and creative practitioners.
• Write articles, reviews, and case studies on art and culture topics.
• Cover exhibitions, cultural initiatives, and creative projects.
• Contribute to broader conversations around contemporary visual culture and the creative industries.

Required profile

• Strong interest and genuine passion for contemporary visual arts and culture.
• Active participation in cultural initiatives, exhibitions, talks, or creative communities.
• Curious, articulate, and able to translate ideas into compelling written narratives.
• Comfortable working independently while aligning with an editorial framework.
