Contracts Counsel – Global Industrial Organization

About the role

We are seeking a Contracts Counsel to join the legal department at our Brussels headquarters. The role supports a global industrial organisation by providing legal expertise on commercial agreements and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts for industrial projects.
• Advise business units on legal risks and support day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain and improve contract templates and other legal documentation.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, trade sanctions, and data‑protection compliance.
• Liaise with external counsel when required.
• Manage post‑contractual issues and assist in dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal and commercial considerations.
• Excellent analytical, summarising and communication skills.
• Proactive, pragmatic and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Fluent English; good command of French is a significant advantage.
