Competition Lawyer – International Law Firm

About the role

Join a leading global law firm as a Competition Lawyer, advising multinational clients on high‑profile competition, merger control, FDI, foreign subsidies and state aid matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit merger control filings to the European Commission and national competition authorities.
• Conduct FDI and Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) assessments and notifications.
• Represent clients in competition investigations, market studies and regulatory proceedings.
• Advise on state aid, behavioural competition law, distribution systems, commercial agreements and compliance programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s international competition practice on cross‑border matters.
• Develop trusted client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 4‑9 years of competition law experience in a leading law firm.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage complex, cross‑border files.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
