Communications Manager

About the role

The Communications Manager will be the central voice for the Static Command Facilities (SCF) Transformation Programme at SHAPE. You will shape how the programme is understood across NATO, host nations and external partners, ensuring clear, consistent and influential messaging throughout all phases of this high‑visibility initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a proactive outreach and internal communications strategy for the SCF Transformation programme.
• Develop the SHAPE SCF Communication Plan independently, aligning with SHAPE J10 STRATCOM and overall NATO communication objectives.
• Monitor and assess the communication plan’s performance, recommending corrective actions to senior managers.
• Prepare and deliver strategic‑level briefings on the SCF programme for senior leadership.
• Coordinate an information campaign with programme and project managers, ensuring alignment with host‑nation stakeholders.
• Maintain continuous dialogue with internal and external stakeholders to oversee interdependencies and ensure coherent alignment.

Required profile

• Proactive, diplomatic communicator with experience in multinational or defence environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling messages.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, capable of engaging senior officials and external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
