About the role
We are looking for a Chief Architect to define end‑to‑end solution architecture for enterprise applications and to lead our development teams in Brussels. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on design, ensuring robust, scalable solutions for our banking and financial services clients.
Key responsibilities
- Define and document complete solution architecture for enterprise‑grade applications.
- Lead development teams, provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to produce accurate technical estimations and project plans.
- Establish coding standards, best practices and enforce them across multiple squads.
- Support Agile delivery, ensuring alignment between architecture and sprint goals.
Required profile
- 8‑10 years of experience in software architecture and team leadership.
- Background in Banking or Financial Services is a strong advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or Azure/AWS Architect are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Open Banking APIs, AI‑assisted development tools, performance engineering, security and IAM integration is a plus.
Required skills
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms AWS or Azure.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
