Center Director – Brussels

About the role

The Center Director will lead the launch, establishment, and long‑term management of the CIEE Brussels Center. Reporting to global leadership, the director will build operations from the ground up while ensuring alignment with CIEE’s global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of the Brussels Center, including legal entity setup, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Identify, secure, and manage key local partnerships with universities, internship providers, housing vendors, and service providers.
• Oversee facility selection, setup, and student housing solutions to ensure readiness for the first student cohort.
• Develop and manage academic programming, including internship opportunities, faculty recruitment, syllabus creation, and student academic matters.
• Design and implement student life and support services such as visas, orientation, emergency response, and health‑safety protocols.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard founding staff and faculty, maintaining overall responsibility for center personnel.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards and local regulations.
• Manage financial and legal responsibilities as managing director of the legal entity.
• Promote CIEE’s mission through external relations, community engagement, and marketing collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in launching and managing educational or cultural centers.
• Strong background in strategic planning, operational execution, and partnership development.
• Experience overseeing academic programs, faculty management, and student services.
• Ability to manage financial, legal, and compliance matters for a new entity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
