Category Lead Procurement – Track Coordination (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Category Lead Procurement – Track Coordination to join the Monarch programme in Mechelen. The role will drive the procurement track, aligning supplier activities with the transition of the client’s shareholder structure. You will act as the central link between procurement, business, legal and programme teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the overall procurement track aligned with assessment and negotiation timelines.
• Coordinate a large supplier portfolio, prioritising based on risk, impact and criticality.
• Lead contract assessment and amendment process to support the shift towards a resell model.
• Define and implement ways of working, including tracking, reporting, governance and escalation processes.
• Serve as the central coordination point between procurement, business, legal, client and programme teams.
• Consolidate insights into clear reporting and decision‑making materials.
• Identify risks and ensure timely escalation and mitigation actions.
• Support supplier negotiations and contingency planning based on supplier response scenarios.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or category management.
• Experience managing complex initiatives or tracks, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑visibility environments.
• Experience with supplier negotiations and contract management (highly valuable).
• Strong analytical and structuring capabilities, able to bring clarity to transformation programmes.
• Hands‑on experience interacting with suppliers and conducting negotiations.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
