Category Director – Fruit

About the role

The Category Director Fruit leads the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the Fruit category for a global, sustainable food company. You will shape the category’s growth, profitability and innovation while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic and commercial plan for the Fruit category.
• Design sourcing strategies, secure strategic partnerships, and oversee packing capabilities.
• Monitor global and regional market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimize the S&OP process with suppliers and co‑packers.
• Set pricing, risk mitigation, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Manage end‑to‑end operations including sourcing, supply chain, quality, logistics and distribution.
• Oversee the category budget, P&L and financial targets.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across sourcing, production, sales, marketing and supply chain.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction across retail, foodservice and industrial channels.
• Represent the Fruit category in executive meetings and strategic forums.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Food Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in food or agribusiness.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management and team leadership.
