About the role
Southern Cross University is seeking experienced primary and secondary teachers for casual academic appointments. The role supports student learning through marking, tutorials, and direct contact, with both on‑campus and online delivery options.
Key responsibilities
- Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Conduct tutorials and facilitate student discussions.
- Maintain regular student contact and support learning outcomes.
- Perform administrative duties related to course delivery.
- Supervise professional experience placements where applicable.
Required profile
- Initial Teacher Education qualification with recent relevant classroom experience.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary teaching approaches in primary or secondary settings.
- Willingness to share expertise with future educators.
- Working with Children Check or equivalent may be required.
Required skills
- Effective assessment and feedback techniques.
- Proficiency in delivering online and face‑to‑face instruction.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks related to teaching.
