Buyer – Indirect Spend (Logistics Procurement)

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a proactive Buyer to manage indirect spend within its Contract Logistics division in the Benelux region. You will support end‑to‑end procurement activities, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency and sustainability while collaborating with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle from market research and sourcing to negotiation, contracting and supplier performance management.
• Lead local RFX processes and contribute to global sourcing initiatives where applicable.
• Develop and implement tactical and strategic sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
• Identify market trends, cost‑saving opportunities and propose continuous improvements.
• Maintain contract databases, report KPIs and strategic insights to management, and cooperate with the operational purchase team.

Required profile

• Completed higher professional education (HBO) or university degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably with tactical or strategic purchasing modules.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, able to adapt quickly across topics.
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch language skills are highly valued.
• Willingness to travel within Benelux and work both independently and in a team.
