Business & Marketing Manager – Global Health NGO

About the role

The Business & Marketing Manager will lead business development, marketing, and brand visibility for the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) and its journal (IDPJ). This cross‑functional position works closely with Partnerships, Membership, Fundraising and Communications teams to drive growth, engagement and diversified revenue for a global health organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategies to increase paid memberships and acquire sponsorships, partnerships and service‑based revenue.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for IDA initiatives, IDPJ publications, events and coalitions.
• Ensure brand consistency across website, newsletters, social media and events, and oversee creation of promotional materials.
• Collaborate with Partnerships, Membership, Fundraising and Communications teams to package activities, refine value propositions and support donor communications.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis, track marketing KPIs and identify trends in global health and NGO networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, business development or revenue growth within a nonprofit, NGO or publishing context.
• Proven success in membership growth, sponsorship acquisition or brand expansion.
• Strong strategic thinking, project management and communication abilities.
• Commitment to equity, evidence‑based communication and global collaboration.
