Business Developer – DACH Region (German‑speaking)

About the role
Shayp, a Brussels‑based water intelligence company, is expanding its footprint in the DACH region. We are looking for a native German‑speaking Business Developer to own the full sales cycle across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, building a pipeline from scratch and turning market awareness into enterprise contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute a go‑to‑market strategy for commercial real estate, facility managers and industrial customers in the DACH market.
- Identify, qualify and close new enterprise accounts through direct outreach, events, partnerships and referrals.
- Maintain a robust pipeline in HubSpot CRM, providing accurate forecasts and regular reporting.
- Lead commercial negotiations, shaping deals that meet client needs and Shayp’s growth targets.
- Represent Shayp at industry events, trade fairs and client meetings throughout the DACH region.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Head of Operations and Product teams to relay market feedback and adapt the value proposition.
- Develop strategic partnerships with local distributors, facility‑management firms, water utilities and real‑estate groups.
Required profile
- Native German speaker (C2 level) with deep cultural knowledge of the DACH business environment.
- 4–6 years of enterprise B2B SaaS sales experience, proven ability to close mid‑to‑large deals.
- Track record of managing complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles lasting 6–18 months.
- Based in Belgium and willing to travel frequently across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Strong command of English; French is a plus.
