Biomanufacturing Upstream Manager

About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations within a biopharmaceutical production environment. You will ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards while fostering continuous improvement and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of manufacturing operations aligned with quality, safety, and production targets.
• Lead and support team leaders and technicians, promoting collaboration, development, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production performance, analyze results, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee equipment readiness with technical teams, including maintenance, qualification, and calibration.
• Manage deviations, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience leading production teams in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and upstream bioprocesses.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
• Fluency in French and English.
