Backend Developer – Cloud‑Native Microservices

About the role

Twipe is looking for a Backend Developer to help publishers deliver premium content on mobile devices. You will join a fast‑growing tech scale‑up that works with leading European and US newspapers, building cloud‑native services that power the newspaper of tomorrow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve a cloud‑native backend architecture based on microservices and horizontal scalability.
• Implement new features for processing newspaper content and distributing it to end users.
• Integrate third‑party systems for user and rights management.
• Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit‑test coverage.
• Prepare, deploy, and monitor go‑lives of new features, handling post‑release follow‑up.
• Review peer pull requests and contribute infrastructure‑as‑code changes.

Required profile

• Team‑player with strong communication skills and a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and continuously improving code quality.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in backend engineering.

Required skills

• C#/.NET (or willingness to work with Python, Java, C++).
• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers (preferred).
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Knowledge of relational database technologies.
