Automotive Compliance Quality Engineer

About the role

Join Toyota's Quality Function at the European headquarters and help ensure that every vehicle built in Europe meets strict regulatory and quality standards. You will work within the Conformity of Production (COP) team, supporting continuous improvement across Toyota’s European manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define, cascade and clarify quality rules, standards and specifications in line with Toyota’s global standards and European regulatory requirements.
• Audit COP compliance at European Manufacturing Companies (EMCs), verify implementation, and drive structural improvements.
• Manage COP statements to Type‑Approval Authorities, ensuring timely filing and receipt.
• Conduct surveillance activities such as emission testing for in‑service vehicles in liaison with authorities and technical services.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices among EMCs and overseas affiliates.

Required profile

• Strong passion for quality, compliance and automotive engineering.
• Experience in automotive regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external authorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
