Automation Engineer

About the role

Paulig is looking for an Automation Engineer to maintain high automation standards, support technical teams and contribute to projects that keep factories running efficiently. The role is based in Roeselare, Belgium and reports to the Automation Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement technical projects as project manager, leader or team member.
• Handle automation and electrical related work across factories.
• Ensure factories are up‑to‑date from automation and electrical perspectives.
• Provide data for business case preparation.
• Lead or participate in engineering projects to streamline production, improve work environment and product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master in Engineering (Electromechanics, Automation, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Analytical mindset with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to different facilities and be part of on‑call duty.
• Positive, energetic attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
