Automation Engineer

About the role

Join a global healthcare leader as an onsite Automation Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions at a European Distribution Centre hub in Courcelles, Belgium. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies to drive innovation, optimise efficiency, and ensure seamless operations of a highly automated medical‑device distribution hub.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned maintenance, upgrades, and deployments during designated weekends to avoid business disruption.
• Support DC equipment automation workstreams from design through go‑live and operational stabilisation, coordinating with regional engineering and cross‑functional teams.
• Manage and enhance Warehouse Control System (WCS) deployments, handling technical escalations and implementing sustainable fixes with integrators and vendors.
• Introduce and integrate new automation technologies to improve process efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Motivated and experienced Automation Engineer with a strong technical background.
• Proven ability to lead development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to work collaboratively with engineering, project, and operations teams.
