Associate in Tax Law

About the role

We are looking for a motivated lawyer to join our Tax Law team in Brussels (and/or Antwerp). The associate will work on a wide range of tax matters for international clients, from innovative startups to large family businesses and multinational corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on the application of tax regulations, including tax incentives such as stock‑option plans and withholding‑tax exemptions.
• Guide clients in obtaining tax rulings and provide support during mergers, restructurings and other corporate transactions.
• Represent clients during tax audits and interact with tax authorities.
• Prepare and deliver internal and external seminars on tax topics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high‑quality legal services and stay up‑to‑date with tax developments.

Required profile

• Law degree from a Belgian university, preferably with a specialization in taxation.
• Several years of experience as a tax specialist in a law firm, consultancy or in‑house legal department.
• Ability to work independently, goal‑oriented and committed to excellent legal content and service level.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch (native), English and French.
• Team‑player attitude with a proactive approach to client needs and a keen interest in economic and tax trends.
